Designed to help Believers
in Messiah fully realize the depth of meaning behind the
illustration of Yeshua as the Bridegroom and the Church as His Bride, showing how the ancient Jewish customs of marriage serve as a living
parable to illustrate the covenant relationship
between Our Lord and His Church and reveal His plans to return for
His Betrothed.
This analogy between a wedding and Messiah and His Bride is described
for us in Ephesians 5:31-32: "Therefore a man will leave his father and mother and remain
with his wife, and the two will become one.
There is a profound truth hidden here, which concerns the Messiah and
the Church."
When we approach this through the grid of 20th Century Western
customs of marriage however,
we miss much of the richness and depth of the picture God has painted
in these ancient practices.
To fully understand the analogy, we must understand the ancient
customs, and when we do, we discover
that the intimacy between Yeshua and His Chosen is no better
illustrated than within these ancient traditions.
